Mass for St. Eulalia with Guatemalan community

The Guatemalan parishioners of Sioux City Cathedral Parish hail from a region with a special devotion to the Spanish saint St. Eulalia. Last year, the parishioners raised funds to have a statue crafted in the saint's image and the statue was blessed by Bishop Walker Nickless. Mass was held Feb. 8 at St. Boniface Church where the statue is permanently placed. pastor Father David Esquiliano celebrated the Mass in Spanish and a fiesta in the church hall followed.
