Sister Jane (Jananne) Rogers, BVM, will celebrate her 70th anniversary of religious life with the Sisters of Charity.
She was an elementary teacher in Chicago; Butte, Montana; and Missoula, Montana, where she also served as principal. She served as a pastoral minister in Iowa Falls and Fort Dodge. Sister Jane was a hospital chaplain ministering in hospice and bereavement in Fort Dodge and a volunteer grief minister in Dubuque. She is now retired.
She was born on Jan. 3, 1932, in Monticello, to Charles and Margaret O’Shea Rogers. She entered the BVM congregation on Sept. 8, 1954, from St. Martin Parish, Cascade. She professed first vows on March 19, 1957, and final vows on July 16, 1962.
