St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church is hosting Dr. Scott Hahn at the parish March 1. The event, hosted in partnership with the St. Paul Center is free and open to the public. It is an opportunity to study Scripture during Lent from the heart of the church with one of today's most respected scholars.
The day will begin with Mass at 8 a.m., followed by a welcome and check-in at 8:45 a.m. Dr. Hahn will deliver two inspiring talks at 9:05 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. Between his presentations, a representative from the St. Paul Center will give a brief presentation at 10:05 a.m.
Dr. Hahn is a Professor of Biblical Theology and the New Evangelization at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, where he has taught since 1990. He is the founder and president of the St. Paul Center, an apostolate dedicated to teaching Catholics to read Scripture from the heart of the church.
Over the last three decades, he has delivered thousands of popular talks and academic lectures, nationally and internationally, on a wide range of topics related to Scripture, Theology, and the Catholic faith. Dr. Hahn has been married to his wife Kimberly for 44 years, and together they have six children and 23 grandchildren.
