St. Gabriel Communications, Ltd. (DBA Siouxland Catholic Radio) received a $15,000 Target Grant from Missouri River Historical Development (MHRD) in May.
The grant was invested in equipment and technology upgrades that were necessary to replace the station’s original equipment this summer.
Joanne Fox, board president, said MHRD’s investment was critical for the non-profit to deliver quality programming to serve the station’s current and “next generation” of listeners. Siouxland Catholic Radio serves 31 counties via two towers in Ponca, Nebraska and Sioux City and Storm Lake. The station’s signal is also brought to listeners via their laptops, cellphones, and other electronic devices enabling Siouxland Catholic Radio to be “anywhere and everywhere.”
