Mental health in our world, our country and even in the Diocese of Sioux City is a growing concern. Suicide rates are alarming. Is anyone immune from life and work stressors that can lead to mental health challenges?

A generation ago, Americans asked one another, “Do you remember where you were when President Kennedy was shot?” referring to the Nov. 22, 1963, assassination of John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas. You don’t have to be from Sioux City or even close by to remember where you were when you heard about Flight 232’s fate on July 19, 1989.
