Rite of Election

The Rite of Election will take place only for Catechumens (those unbaptized) on March 9 at 2 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Epiphany. Just a reminder that the Rite of Election is not optional – the Catechumens must be “elected” for the Easter sacraments by the Bishop. Parishes may celebrate the Rite of Sending Catechumens for Election during any Mass of the First Sunday of Lent.
