Ecologist and photographer Chris Helzer will share stories about the incredible diversity of plants and animals that live in prairies. He’ll also talk about human relationships with grasslands, including land stewardship practices, both historic and contemporary, that keep prairies healthy and productive. Helzer is The Nature Conservancy’s Director of Science and Stewardship in Nebraska. Prairie Walk begins at 4 p.m. with lecture to follow at 7 p.m. in the St. Francis Center Canticle Room.
