Divine Mercy Blue Mass

The Blue Mass is a tradition where the police, fire and EMS first responders gather for a special celebration and blessing for their work on behalf of the community.
Deacon David Penton said, "I have worked in public safety, corrections, fire, rescue, hospital and emergency management services for over 25 years. They are not easy jobs and are sometimes heartbreaking and soul-crushing. When I am asked about the worst things I have seen, it's humanity, what people are willing to do to each other. To have community gather in the presence of Jesus Christ and offer prayers and sacrifice for us and with us, fortifies our armor in the time we need it most."
