Siouxland Catholic Radio hosts art festival and pledge drive

Siouxland Catholic Radio 88.1 FM is preparing for two significant events next week. The 2025 Juried Youth Art Festival with the theme "Illustrate God's Love: will be held at St. Boniface Parish Hall in Sioux City from April 8-10, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This will occur during the same time as the Spring Pledge Drive at the KFHC studios, 701 W. 5th St. These events are free and open to the public. 

Attendees will be able to vote for their “Viewers' Choice” Award winner from the 273 submitted entries. The 12 winners that will be featured in the next art calendar produced by Siouxland Catholic Radio will also be on display. 

Here are the grade winners: 
Grade 1 - Elinor Tillman “Rose Before a Thousand” of Holy Cross 
Grade 2 - Henry Mueggenberg “God’s Love” of Woodbury Central 
Grade 3 - Nubia Ramos Cancino “Heavenly Bible” of Sacred Heart School 
Grade 4 - Eloise Sitzman “God Loves You” of Blessed Sacrament 
Grade 5 - Kathleen Robertson “God Created Life” of Blessed Sacrament 
Grade 6 - Peter DeWitt “God’s Ways of Mercy” of DeWitt Academy 
Grade 7 - Addie Nelson “Jesus’ Heart” of Blessed Sacrament 
Grade 8 - Emalea Davis “God’s Love” of Blessed Sacrament 
Grade 9 - Marcus Whitehead “Loving and Supporting Each Other” of Gehlen Cathlic 
Grade 10 - Kennedy Wendt “God’s Love Together” of Bishop Heelan 
Grade 11 - Amanda King “Our Lady of Sorrows” of Sioux Center 
Grade 12 - Hazel Ritchie “Washing of the Feet” of Bishop Heelan 

The Artist of Tomorrow Winner - Kindergarten- Skyler Russell “Love” of Sacred Heart
