Rosenmeyer ordination

PRESS RELEASE

Seminarian for the Diocese of Sioux City, Jacob Rosenmeyer of Divine Mercy Parish, Algona, was ordained a transitional deacon by Bishop Walker Nickless June 1 at the Cathedral of the Epiphany. Deacon Rosenmeyer will be ordained a priest for the diocese in June 2025.

He will return to Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in Shrewsbury, Missouri, for another year of study and formation before his priestly ordination.

In the Catholic tradition, a man studying for the priesthood is first ordained a transitional deacon before his priestly ordination. There are currently 10 seminarians for the Diocese of Sioux City.
