Bishop Walker Nickless of the Diocese of Sioux City will be offering a Mass of Reparation for victims of clergy abuse on Monday, April 29 at 5:30 p.m. at the Sioux City Cathedral of the Epiphany. Victims and their families are encouraged to attend the Mass and join the bishop in prayer as April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
No RSVP is needed to attend. Photography and video recording will not be allowed for the privacy of attending victims and their loved ones.
To report an incident of sexual abuse of a person under age 18 by a priest, deacon, employee or volunteer, contact local law enforcement or Angie Mack, Victim Assistance Coordinator at 1-(866) 435-4397.
