Sioux City Bishop Heelan High School students came together during Catholic Schools Week to support Mary’s Choice, a local nonprofit dedicated to assisting mothers and families in need. Through a school-wide diaper drive, students donated 3,590 diapers and 79 packs of wipes to help stock essential supplies for families who rely on Mary’s Choice.
On Feb. 10, 18 Bishop Heelan students packed up cars with the donations and delivered them to Mary’s Choice. While there, they had the opportunity to meet Mary Jayne Mousel, a dedicated volunteer, who gave them a tour of the facility and shared the impact of their generosity.
“You never know how the things you give will touch others,” said Mary Jayne Mousel, emphasizing the power of generosity.
