Carroll Catholic Charities offers suicide support group

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Sioux City will offer a Suicide Support Group in Carroll this fall with the first of six meetings on Oct. 15. 
 
The group is open to anyone over 18 who has lost a family member or friend to suicide over 30 days ago. Therapist Tina Zanders, LMSW, encourages loved ones struggling from such a loss to join.

“More people than ever have lost someone close to them by suicide. Through this group, we will provide hope and support for moving forward in your journey through grief and loss," she said.

There is no cost to join. Meetings will be Tuesdays, Oct. 15 – Nov. 19, 2024, from 5:15 – 6:45 p.m. at 409 ½ W 7th Street in Carroll. Membership will remain the same for the entire session. 

“My co-facilitator, Whitney Cue, tLMHC, CADC, and I will provide a caring, comfortable and confidential setting in which you can listen, share and connect with others to build an on-going support system," Zanders explained.
